Our Lady of Consolation

Basilica and National Shrine

The Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation opened in 1875  and dedicated to Mary, Consoler of the Afflicted. Thousands of pilgrims come here annually to seek Her Aid.

The present church was built in 1925 and in 1971 Pope Paul VI designated it a minor basilica.

The shrine is a noted location for the healing of body, mind and spirit through the intercession of Our Lady of Consolation.

The shrine is open 24/7.
