Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche

          St. Augustine, FL

In 1615 the early Spanish settlers established the first shrine in the United States to be dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary as a sign for their love for the Nursing Mother of Christ.

In addition to the Chapel of Our Lady of La Leche there is the Prince of Peace Church, an 11 foot bronze statue of Fr. Lopez, a 208 foot stainless steel cross, a rustic altar and a bronze plaque memorializing 45 of the major missions of the first Spanish Period (1565-1763).
